2010 U.S. Vintage Grand Prix
September 12, 2010Photos from Sunday's Vintage Grand Prix racing, Sept. 12. The day was cool, a bit rainy, and grey which probably kept a few teams from gridding cars (Saturday was perfect... too bad I couldn't have been there!). Most of the photos I shoot at the races are typically anything but the racing on track. It's the action in the paddock and garage that before the race that interest me the most.
Grand Prix Fest 2010
Photos from the 2010 edition of the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival, Sept. 10. At noon Franklin Street closes down and the streets fill with vintage cars and thousands of spectators. Many of the cars have a racing heritage, some do not, but all are great representatives of performance autos from eras gone by. This year's featured marque - Alpha Romeo.
Vine Valley Barn, April 2010
In the early spring the morning sunlight rising over Vine Valley can be equally dramatic and peaceful. Easter Sunday presented just this sort of morning so I quickly drove to the top of the Valley to photograph this old barn barely standing. I was drawn to it by the juxtaposition of light, color, pattern, and texture.

Photos from a two-day trip to the Buffalo area to visit the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright (Graycliff Estate, Martin House) and along the way, a stop for Lunch at Roycroft Inn, East Aurora; one of our favorite towns to visit.
